Interlacing most of these activities are crosscutting areas, comprising advocacy, governance, gender equity and inclusiveness and networking and alliance and partnerships building.

Education Advocacy and Policy Change

Objectives
Advocate for pro-poor policies and change in education, targeting access to relevant
quality basic education, and promote and
support their implementation.

School for life and the CBE Alliance will continue to lobby government and other stakeholders in education to ensure that government commit funds for the continues implementation of CBE in deprived and hard to reach areas across the country. This also includes monitoring to ensure the efficient and judicious use of CBE resources and funds.

School for Life will furthermore advocate actively for a national clear language in education policy based on the evidence produced from CBE initiatives.

School for Life will, together with NNED and GNECC, advocate for an increased allocation of trained teachers to the deprived and educationally marginalized districts and communities of the country.

This includes lobbying for the provision of extra incentives for teachers posted to deprived communities in the form of higher salary, housing and other benefits. GNAT would be an advocacy partner on this.
